At the end of 2022, Brazil will be experiencing a moment of great economic prosperity under the Tropical Fascism Government. The Anaconda Brazil movement, the civilian arm of this Government, will take large patriotic masses to the streets weekly, who will raise huge banana pixels at the slightest appearance of Um Cara Lá. Meanwhile, in a small republic in the center of São Paulo, Billy, John, Suzanne, Vincent, Valentina, Tom and a dog live huddled together. It's New Year's Eve and they only have some instant noodles and sardines to eat. The six characters take turns in the task of bringing abandoned objects from the street that refer to the public thing, with which they build a trench throughout the play, behind which they will always be between fighting or waiting mystically for better days. RES PVBLICA 2023 was censored in August 2019 by the National Arts Foundation (FUNARTE).
